Steve surprised his mom and siblings by getting home a week earlier than he said he would. Cory picked him up when his flight got in at midnight and brought him home after everyone was gone to bed. Steve got into his Marine Dress uniform and walked into the kitchen the next morning taking Amy completely by surprise. Steve didn't have enough leave built up for Christmas vacation, so they let him come home for two weeks but most days he needs to spend time working at the recruiting station and out recruiting. We do get evenings and several days with him, though. It's good to see him. He finishes up his training in early February and then he'll come back home though he'll be active in the reserves.
