Kingdom Ball Special Needs

Origin of The Kingdom Ball: Several years ago, Sherrelle, one of the employees at White Knight, had an idea to use White Knight's building, "The Castle" for a backdrop for a parking lot dance for youth and young adults with Special Needs. People with intellectuals and their families are invited to the costume dinner and parking lot dance. White Knight employees and lots of other volunteers help to pull off the grand event. One of the most successful parts is that there are at least as many people who don't have special needs as there are people who do. That makes is so we can hang out with our friends who have Special Needs without making them feel different. It is an awesome event that just gets better every year. As it has grown, the cost has become greater and several companies have stepped up to help. Lauri Carter and her group from PaintMyFace donated all of the time and materials for painting faces. Dave Gremler from Hitman Productions donated his time and equipment as a professional D.J. And Texas Roahouse in Riverton, Utah donated much of the food. If you live in the Salt Lake area, please show them thanks with your business. If you don't live in the area, give these and the other volunteers a shout in the comments area, below.
