The Gift

 

José-Manuel caught me as he walked into the villa that evening. We had our quick exchange in Sportuguese. “I talked to my boss today. I have taken tomorrow and the next day off. I need to work Thursday but I’ll be back on Friday. Josephina and Julia will stay the entire time. We must give this to the girls. They have been waiting for it far too long.”
